Is the hatch straight across the bottom? Seems as though either hatch or body must be still bent, given that the gasket is tight at the top, loose at the bottom, latch is in all the way and still no joy. Those bumpers certainly touched at one time. And adjusting the hinges will only give you less clearance at the top where you already don't need any.

Bit late to argue with the body shop. Maybe time to stick some thin foam with skived ends on the lower parts of the hatch?
