Yes, that is what I am suggesting. A donut inside the spring, over the bump stop post, to keep the spring centered on the post. I would cut rings from plastic cutting board and stack a few together, screwed together, probably with the bottom one extending out below and past the remaining bottom coil of the spring. Kinda like a hat up over the post, brim down under the spring. The plastic will keep things quieter on bumps.
