I'm sure that the vast bulk of LP tanks are the original ones, especially after they started welding the certification plate all around instead of just tack welds at the corners.

The tanks is built to ASME specs, much heavier than a DOT tank, and has no recertification requirements. As long as it's in decent condition it's fine.

Many of the Autostop valves have died and been replaced by manual valves, but I'm sure some are still running.
