Test the blue wire continuity:Ground either end of the blue wire, at the alternator to the vehcile body, or the instrument cluster. Connect one lead of the Ohmeter to the other end of of the wire, the other lead to the body. If the meter zeros, you have a good wire. If it doesnt show anything, you have a open circuit. If the wire is good, the Bentley shows the testing steps for testing the printed circuit. Besides the light does not come on when the key is on, the charging will only start if I rev up the engine pretty high to make it kick in.  Then it provides 13.9 volts. The blue wire connection is clean.

Do I need to check continuity of the blue wire somewhere?  Or is there anything else to fix?

Thanks for the help.

Zoltan

The charging light does not come on when the key is on.  And it bothers me if it's not as it should be. What would be the reason why it is not coming on?

I'm hoping to fix it by tomorrow.

Best wishes to all, Zoltan

The charging light absolutely must come on when the key is turned on. After the engine is started it must go out, perhaps after a little reving. If yours does not come on with the key and go out when the engine is running then something is wrong and it is very important that you fix it and not just walk away washing your hands. It could cost someone an engine if you don't have a working alternator light on a wbx.
