Very interesting! I've always been fascinated by this lifestyle, and used to belong to a Yahoo! group called "Vandwellers". I've also read other articles about living in vans, and nearly always the number 1 reason was crushing credit card debt. Most of these folks had decent jobs, but didn't want to pay rent/mortgage in order to pay down their credit cards.
