As others have noted , fuel pump ground is usually to a screw in the frame near the fuel pump. You can ground the negative terminal of the fuel pump anywhere you want - run a wire to the engine if you want, or whatever, just so it's a good solid ground.

and if juice is not getting to the pump in the first place, the ground is not the problem, if that's what was actually meant.
