Subject: "G" Copper Pipe: Use with LP Tank on Westy?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

This 3/8" OD "G" type copper pipe sold here (Canada): http://tinyurl.com/8rxhl66 claims, in part:

"For natural gas and propane ..... (TPC) type G/Gas tube Meets all requirements of ASTM B-837 including nominal dimensions.... "

Googled ASTM B-837. From this page (bottom): http://tinyurl.com/23z9eev

"It should be noted that ASTM B837 copper tube is not permitted for use by NFPA 54 ....."

"Apples to oranges" comparing US Fire Prevention code to the above pipe sold in Canada but....

Can someone please confirm if it's OK, or not, to install this "G" type pipe on a new LP tank on my Vanagon?

The PDF on NFPA 54 is intense reading.

Much thanks

Neil.
