RE: Doc Watson, Watts Up Let's see. I can mount one of these between my solar controller and the battery and monitor my solar panel performance. And I can mount another one between the aux battery and the aux fuse panel and monitor what is going on with the lights and toys. Or I can just watch the volt meter, already wired in and mounted, to watch what is happening at the aux battery and start shutting stuff down if the voltage is dropping to fast. I'm a Gadget Geek but other than for testing or analyzing a DC system (as implied by the descriptions and reviews) I don't see one of these permanently mounted in my systems. And I already have one of those cute little meters from Harbor Freight that I can plug into a fuse slot to see exactly (well, almost exactly) what the current draw is on each individual circuit if chasing problems. Cute and clever little boxes and might even order one just to have avaialble but not for permanent install in my Westy. |
