This probably isn't 'it' ...
and I would still check the ball pivot at the aft end of the throttle
cable where it clips onto the lever on the side of the trans.
It's way up in there and hard to see or access.
I have seen that spot rusted solid so it couldn't pivot .
worth checking. There is some chance it could affect shifting.
It's fun to look inside the pan too. Usually it looks normal in there -
sometimes you find something 'exciting.'
