I have a 1.9 with auto trans. It goes slow up hills. On some grades I have to get down to 1st and crawl up. I take every opportunity to pull over to the right when there is a pocket long enough where I don't need to shed speed (if that's the right word); in between those and passing lanes, the folk behind have to suck it up. I regret causing inconvenience to others, but them's the breaks. -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott 1984 Westfalia, auto trans, Bend, Ore.
