Agreed. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen anything better except a Victorinox SAK.

My vote for Marc is to get a cheap and reliable daily driver while getting the Vanagon in tip-top shape. Even though I'm only 3 summers into westy-dom I'm convinced short cuts are always expensive. And so are things newer/bigger than the Vanagon (next up we can let the bay window air-cooled vs wasserboxer Vanagon debate resume it's normal trajectory).
