I think the answer to the Vanagon repair syndrome is to always have a 2nd
vehicle.  I can't think how much life would be complicated for me if the
Vanagon was my only vehicle that I had to rely on each day.  Those who use
the Vanagon as the sole means of transportation and daily driver -- you
have my respect and admiration.
