For that kind of money it should have everything working properly . Especially the air . A tent with a patched hole is not OK ,its garbage and needs to be replaced . Spend 3 hours and get the ice box working . They will realize this when it sits on the market for 3 months . It will sell for the value of the van and the tdi is a free gift . Conversions never give you your money back . Period
