Subject: 1988 Vanagon Parts for Sale
To: vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com
All parts are located in Pennsylvania, 16063.
Bought this van not running 8 / 2010, it sat since 6 / 2006. I installed a
new Hall sensor and coil, which got the van running and moving. The engine
ran well and did not leak coolant from the head gaskets, but I never
registered the van for use, and so never drove the van at speed. This was
a Wolfsburg Edition van, similar to a Carat, with a automatic transmission.
Since this was a rust-belt van, I eventually decided to harvest various
body accessories and interior parts for my own 1991 Carat. As far as the
motive parts, I kept the auto trans for my Carat. I have completed parting
out the rest of the van. Since I have a Subaru 2.2L in my Carat, the
following parts are for sale. All items are @ 95,000 miles since new
(94,5xx.x miles), and original to the van:
2.1 engine. Engine includes alternator, fuel injectors, fuel pressure
regulator and dangerous hoses and clamps, plus the A.C. compressor and auto
transmission flex plate, but does not include the ignition distributor,
exhaust pipes, engine mount system or engine electrical harness. The oil
filler pipe and dipstick have been removed for storage purposes. All 4
front exhaust manifold studs are broken almost flush with the heads as I
removed the cobbled-up hack-welded rotted-to-bits exhaust pipe mess. Price:
you pick it up here: $150.
2.1L distributor with new Hall sensor, cap and rotor.
Price: $75. You pay shipping, or pick up here.
2.1L fuel injection airflow meter (AFM).
Price: $50. You pay shipping, or pick up here.
2.1L engine control unit (ECU).
Price: $60. You pay shipping, or pick up here.
2.1L fuel Injection harness.
Price: $50. You pay shipping or pick up here.
2.1L idle solenoid and control relay.
Price: $25. You pay shipping or pick up here.
Please p-mail me for responses or inquires.
Thanks,
Dave Milo
