May I ask, where does the gauge # come from and how is it defined? The relationship between gauge and strands is quite linear (inversely? I'm not clear on what the context for 23/25/etc is). I know this is no longer V-gon related and it's not yet Friday. I'm simply curious. Feel free to wait until Friday to respond, this isn't a time-sensitive query :-) And of course I can do my own google too.
