Pull the windshield and the problem will be evident. You will need to rebuild the lower lip that holds the windshield in. Nice 3 ~ 4 day project that entails dash removal, metal work and body refinishing ! I've done a few of them here this year including my own '87 Westy, Rita kept complaining of wet feet, go figure ! I like to use POR-15 and Fiberglass matt to rebuild that lip rather than welding in new metal bits. > > > On 2012-10-21, at 12:00 AM, Automatic digest processor <LISTSERV@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> wrote: > > > Well, the rain is here and I've got two leaks dripping down under the dash = > > on both drivers/passenger side.=A0 Not sure of all the possibilities, I'd l= > > ove to delay taking off the dash for now...really want to have a new blower= > > motor and heater core ready to go when the time comes.=A0 Not there yet.= > > =A0 Could this be something with my windshield gasket? > > > > Cheers, > > Frank Condelli > Almonte, Ontario, Canada > '87 VW Westy, '00 Kawasaki 250 Sherpa, "98 Ducati 750 Monster & Lionel Trains (Collection for sale) > Frank Condelli & Associates - Vanagon/Vanagon Westfalia Service in the Ottawa Valley > Vanagon Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems > BusFusion a VW Camper camping event, Almonte, ON, June 06 ~ 09, 2013 |
