Hey Rocket roedent!! :) So the biggest thing I learned about deleting the fire starter and repossitioning the fuel hose was that if you went with putting the hose thru that opening was to make sure you placed a gromett or insulator to protect said hose from getting cut by the sheet metal. Solutions I remember: 1) hose thru hole + Grommet 2) same as above, but using a cut piece of hose sandwished around firewall and new house...double wrap it! 3) double barbed fitting thru hole with grommet and hose on both sides (more fuel clamps, but easier disconnect for engine drop) 4) Dropping Hose under hole, but securing with zip ties to make it hang out of the way. 5) buying the metal firewall thingy....
