Do not plan on heat or AC unless it has the gas heater. Do not plan on keeping up with the 70-75 mph traffic on the Jersey Turnpike or most of the interstate system. Do not plan on climbing mountains. Didn't you do an engine upgrade because you didn't like the Waterboxer? The air cooled is a huge step backward. At least they don't boil over or freeze up. The engines just melt.

Hi All, Was wondering if there are any major gotchas with the 82 west that are worth knowing about? I'm thinking of upgrading to a westy b/c the family has grown.

Cheers, Harry
