Questions? Why is it now for sale? Owner gave up! Turns out not to be what was wanted or is not as good as the ad sounds? After all that work why now.

As for my theory the person who buys this will very high final expectations. It will take a bit of money to get there. A large down payment it is but the regular additions of money will be needed.

And it is not even a Syncro.

If you're the kind of person who wants to live in a van down by the river...in Botswana, then this might just be your vehicle. The Westfalia is almost overland ready straight from the factory, it has a kitchen and a fold out out bed so you're comfortable nearly anywhere. This "Westy" as they're called has a distinct advantage over the other models on the market right now-it has a TDI engine out of a VW Jetta, so it has more power, and most importantly the engine produces significantly better fuel economy numbers. The Vanagon is incredibly easy to repair, and parts are available nearly everywhere in the world.
