The Bus shift cone will not operate any of the vanagon transaxles.

I wish to transplant a transaxle out of a 1981 Vanagon with an 091 side shift to a rear shift for a 1975 Type II Bus. Is this possible to exchange the just by exchanging the rear tail cone?
