friend and I both bought new wipers for our vans at same time a year ago. We both got a pair of those sexy one piece models. No metal, just a rubber blade and a slim plastic backing. His was Bosch, mine were Michelin. His work perfectly, mine work poorly - inconsistent contact with glass and chattering with light tain. Yes, I have buggered around with spring tension and bending wiper arms, no success. My previous, more traditional wipers worked fine. alistair
