Not gloating here, but over the years I have spent money on a battery back up system, a gas generator, water sensing pumps that kick on if water gets in my basement (which it usually does) and a snow blower (Don't think Sandy will make me get that out, but if I were just a few miles more west of here i would) It is a royal PITA to maintain all this stuff, but it is times like this that make it all worthwhile. Test fired the generator last night, started on the second pull. Hope everyone stays safe and dry!!
