I just 'treated' my poorly working blades with some Armorall....sprayed it on and wiped it off a couple of times, using a soft rag that had more Armorall on it. Mine had blank spots on the glass and were really streaking badly and now they work fine again. These were cheap-o refill blades that I strung into some old arms because I couldn't find a proper fitting blade that I wanted to buy....

I think the Armor all revived the rubber of the blades...dunno for how long..
