One very good solution to the problems some of you are experiencing with your VW dealers is to get a copy of ETKA, the VW parts look-up program, install it on your computer, PC only, unless you MAC is running Parallels, learn how to use it, look up the parts you want and order the part from your dealer. They will be happy to not have to spend the time looking up the part and therefor be more accommodating. Once you see how complicated it is to find some of the parts in that program you will understand their reluctance to go digging for a part that usually ends up NLA when they finally find the part number and ask the VW system for it. Then also when there's a mistake with the part the onus is on you not them so they don't tend to get nasty with you. Remember, always put yourself in the other guys shoes to see how it goes. If you don't know where to get a copy of ETKA you can email me privately on that subject.
