Anything with a modern transistor / diode junction & this includes the alternator.

You could wire the alternator output to a set of three 5U4 vacuum tube diodes..... And what's scary part is I know how.

Back in the Korean war (ok, conflict), a Soviet MIG "jumped ship" to the American side. Our Engineers laughed at the vacuum tube technology until they realized the technology was not affected by EMP pulses. These days military hardware is "hardened" to withstand EMP pulses.

I'm not very knowledgeable here. Given that, I'd expect ECU, idle stab, tach, ignition module on a 1.9l, DOPS board, Westy LED panel, GPS, computer, stereo, transistor-driven LEDs, maybe all LEDs, maybe ignition coil, maybe alternator. Depending on strength, maybe other stuff. Best protection - be somewhere else.

If you want to run after an EMP, I suspect your best bet is an old-fashioned mechanical-injection hand-cranked diesel. And don't have a pacemaker or defibrillator installed.
