Bob. I guess that depends on what you get with the engine and what you are expecting. If you have all the parts for an automatic in your possession, that should be no problem. There are a few things that are different, but they are bolt-ons. The basic engine, in every detail up to the throttle mechanism, is the same.

If there are other differences, I am sure someone will answer, but the bottom line is that you can take what you have and install the bits from it that will make your manual 2.1 work just fine in your automatic.
