Yes, later passenger models have the factory A/C controls on the dash while 86/87 have the controls overhead between the visors. The overhead controls have a wiring bundle to them from the rear main unit and the bundle is hidden by the center ducts. When the center ducts are removed the wiring just hangs there in the way. The dash controls have a bundle to them from the back that is run under the floor along side the main bundles.
