I recently received a set of replacement rain gutters (the ones for the
A-pillar) from bus depot. The trim on my vanagon is silver, the
replacements came only in black (van is ivory).

Two questions: do drivers normally paint these these silver (on older
models), leave them black or paint them the car color? And do they press or
knock on, or should they be glued, and if so, with what?
