Folks, I just received 50 of this very rare and obscure part for the front heater of our Vanagons from VW Classic Parts. Bearing Plate, LH, lower vent flaps, 251 259 143 01C - $4.80 The RH ones are NLA as of now. This is the small piece that holds in the lower vent flap for the footwell on the heater box. There are two RH and two LH ones. They are very commonly broken or get broken when overhauling the heater box. Two LH ones will keep the vent flap in place and perhaps you have enough of the broken RH ones to suffice for now. VW Classic Parts is working on remanning the RH ones so keep tuned in.
