The Blue Star Vin should look like this The first 11 digits are all the same the last 6 (in brackets in the example below) are the unique identifier

Wv2yb025xkh(000000)

W - Germany V - Volkswagen 2 - MPV Y - Bus (Vanagon) B - 4-Cylinder Gasoline (Water Cooled) 0 - Passive Seat Belts 25 - Vanagon X - Check digit (can only be 0-9 and X) K - 1989 Model Year H - Hannover Assembly plant 000000 - Production number
