1/2 breaker bars (more than one in the same day), screwdrivers that looked like someone tried to jump start a bus and the screw driver got stuck, cracked sockets, ratchets that stopped ratcheting have all gone back & been replaced. Funny looks sometimes (especially the second trip in the same day) but that have all been replaced. I'm not surprised they didn't do a torque wrench.

I save broken Craftsman tools to take back when I go back, I have more than one screwdriver so breaking something simple like that does not require a special trip. The last time I went in 'because something broke' I cracked a 14mm 3/8 drive 12pt socket & went back to get it replaced and buy the same socket in 1/2 drive. The 1/2 drive did the job and all is well, if I'd have had a 1/2" drive in 12pt when I started I would not have cracked the 3/8 drive... but they replaced it, no questions asked (or funny looks).

I can always find a Sears...
