just jumper two terminals at the fuel pump relay .. and pump the rest of that old gas outta there.

one way to get rid of it is a tiny bit at a time into a nicely running car with fresh gas .. or sneak a little bit at a time into your old drain oil when you dispose of it. or mix it sparingly with diesel and use it as a fire starterfluid.

about that jumpering ..it's 'too easy.' open they relay box. Look at the relay on the right. Connect ...even a small screw driver will to the trick.. the middle upper and lower wires. The key doesn't need to be on or anything. the fuel pump will run.

I had hoped the PO had drained the tank, but it seems he did not. It also has the plastic fuel line fitting in the engine compartment that is responsible for the early demise of many a Vanagon. I asked the seller if his other Vanagon still had that fitting and he said yes. I advised him to get rid of it ASAP. > > > > > Jeff Stewart >
