Back about fifteen years ago we stopped for a quick camper lunch just off the road near Telluride, CO. My son was wandering around looking at stuff, when he spied a bunch of tools under a cattle guard. We fished most of them out and tossed them in a bag to sort out later.

When we got home we found them to be pretty rusty. Some were usable, others not. We took all the unusable Craftsman tools to put local Sears, where the salesman graciously helped us match up old with new, wrote up a ticket and thanked us for shopping at Sears.

He asked what happened to all those tools; I told him "They got wet".
