Winter seems to be holding off here, at least until now. I just got back from a couple day campout at a nice spot in the Oklahoma Ozarks. Wore shorts and sandals a good part of the time, except for hikes into some awesome canyons with amazing fall color on maples, oaks, hickories, elms, dogwoods, ashes, hornbeams, hop hornbeams, beeches .............. . But, on the drive home, the front hit like a wall. It dropped my speed suddenly from 60 mph to 40 mph, bang. Of course, I was able to pick the speed back up, but the fuel guage started to drop more rapidly. And now I am at home, the wind is howling, and the temperature will go down into the 20s F tonight. Lots of rain earlier today, no snow in the offing. mcneely
