Clueless dude that I am, I went to the BD website a few days ago,
entered my model/year, selected "shocks" and looked over the 4 or so
choices I had, picked the ones I wanted, placed the order, got my
Vanagon list discount--all in five or ten minutes--and received the
shocks about 4-5 days later.

Before that I had searched the Vanagon archives for
posts about certain brands of shocks that I knew were in the last
year or so.  It took almost no time for the search, I refreshed
my memory on opinions and knew which brand I wanted.  Oh, now
I remember, "they" say searching the archives never works....

What am I doing wrong?  ;-)
