A couple of years ago my wife and daughter set out on a shopping trip to an outlet mall about 60 miles away. I gave them my GPS. Two hours later my daughter called and said "We're lost" I asked how, you had the GPS! She said "Mommy said the GPS was wrong and went another way" <SIGH> I knew someone would post a story about someone following their GPS and driving into a lake/pond/ocean/off a cliff/into a storefront. I have been in telecommunications for 34 years, spanning from mechanical relay switches to VoIP. I used to worry that technology would replace me. There is one thing, though, that has kept me gainfully employed: the stupidity of the end user!    Jeff Stewart ----- Original Message ----- > "Resistance is futile." > Everyone complains about a few GPS issues they might have on a trip. > You rarely hear the other 200 times they've used them successfully in > the past month. > I drive all over the place during the course of the week for work.
