Very true! When the New Beetle was introduced in 1998 a young kid I worked with bought one. The first day he drove it to work, we went out to have a look at it. When he popped the hood and I saw the engine compartment I said "Holy crap, look how it is all crammed in there. This thing will a nightmare to work on" (Which, now that my daughter owns a New Beetle, I can confirm that I was correct!)
