Friends, I have a 1991 2.1 that I don't drive, can't drive, and can't find time to work on anymore. The problem is with the motor and the fix I tried to do with the motor in the car. I have two other engine projects on my diesels, and I'm not going to go through all that again for a car I hardly ever drive that needs a windshield when I get done. It's an automatic. The only bad thing about it (besides the engine) is the lumpy body (it had been the victim of falling branches in a windstorm). While the panels are OK and rust free, you could probably find better ones in general. It is a southern car, no rust except mild on exhaust mount bracket. Exterior Orly Blue, interior grey. No tears in any interior stuff. GL model. It's in North Alabama at 35758. I will ship any of it to the best of my ability to package it, but I want it gone so I can get my driveway back. Jim Here's what I can think of and the condition The automatic transmission and everything connected with it out to the hubs in the rear and the shift lever in the front is in excellent condition. The front and rear heater boxes are in excellent condition, having the cores replaced with low mileage used ones and the motor refurbed in the front. Alternator good Power mirrors Bumper cladding all the way around, with a minor problem here and there and a split in the front at an attachment point, but nothing that couldn't be repaired in an afternoon. Heater controls and cables Upper and lower steering column housing Bumper mounting strips Excellent instrument cluster and instruments All hoses good Starter good Fuel injection setup with new hoses as of a year ago Anti-bucking pigtail ECU Air meter Good PS rack and pump, hoses Steering components Every single bit that goes on a 2.1 engine, including the sought after 1991 alternator tension adjustment Complete working AC system and ducting including mounts and fittings. Plastic coolant pipes (probably local pickup only) Heads rebuilt 3 miles ago. Yes, three. (AMC) All lights and signals All things interior, in good shape except for floppy arm rest on front seat passenger side. Brand new muffler tip Good original exhaust system, no rust Good muffler and cat Good distributor with very intact hall effect sensor Good plug wires Coil Late model slider parts Steering u-joint Steering v box Muffler mounts (only thing on the car that's a little rusty, but they are OK. |
