I griped a couple weeks ago that after pulling the dash earlier this
year and doing all kinds of work behind it, the new footwell cable
kinked behind the lever panel.


Scott asked whether I lubed the cable.


No - no I did not and now this is what I get.


Learning from my mistakes.


I've ordered a new cable and will fish it through and hook it up.


What kind of lube is recommended for this application?


(Pity the inside part of the cable can't be fished through the housing
of the old cable. It would be easier than replacing the whole thing. But
them bends on the ends . . . .)
