The 211 611 715 A Part Number is an invalid, bogus number "bastardized" by EIS. The correct number is 281 611 767 (old # 211 611 767) for the clip that does the front and the front to back line. ETKA says "As Required", so I don't know how many are needed. Still available from Volkswagen @ $2.80 each. Never have seen them so I don't know how accurate EIS' photo is of theirs vs. VW.

The ones on the EBarf link is 291 611 767 which is for the two rear left and right lines on the Rear Trailing Arm (1 each side). Dunno what's different about them from the ones above. Still available from VW @ $2.80 each.

Yeah, both sound a bit more pricey than EIS or EBay, but at least the VW dealer ones are correct IMHO. I may buy a couple from the dealer (special order - plenty at the VW depots) down the street and compare to the EIS variety. And if I get ambitious enough I'll crawl under the 84 GL and see how many are there. The operative word is "ambitious" :)

Hope this helps
