John, short answer.

Nope.

Did you check the crank case vent tube on the top of the engine? If it is collapsed then the pressure can build up inside the crank case and it will find the weakest spot and then leak. Also if you overfill the oil it will also cause leaks. I always keep my oil level between the marks because of this problem.
