Driving the length of the Baja penninsula just the year before the highway was paved, the fuel pump of my 66 F150 truck failed near Catavina, about as far as you can get, in this world, from parts (back then). Used a couple of sections of spear gun rubbers to fashion an external fuel line from a 5 gallon gas can, which we tied to the roof of my camper..Gravity feed.......Drove 2 more full days like that to get to Sta Rosalia where we found another old ford to scavenge a pump.
