Welcome to the List! Im not a syncro owner so I cant be much help other
than if it goes clickity clickity with steering wheel turned all the way
one side and or the other it may be time for new cv joints!

That's a sign of a worn joint. The only way to know is to look for wear
when you pull it apart to reboot. Might as well do both sides and both ends
and just reset the clock on that job.
