Im still working on my fuel milage/power issues with my diesel! Although at a turtle pace before my air cooled ratio tranny I clocked in an avg of 24.7mpg but with little power. With my aircooled ratio tranny on river grade with a slight cross wind I clocked in 31.4 mpg but with less power. Working on a 1.9 td though. But with these hefty Vehicles with the aerodynamics of a cardboard box we don't expect the best milage!

But I routinely get ~ 15mpg local roads and 19mpg highway miles. I've been told that I'm on the low end of fuel economy and that should be 19mpg - 21mpg.

Even before I made the switch my mileage never got about 19mpg in my 2.1L water cooled.

I'd love to see actual data on the 25mpg people. I hear of them but it seems more like a pipe dream to me.

Cheers, Harry
