I would just go to a FLAPS and buy a generic starter button. wildlyguessing ... it's a 10 amp cirucit at the most. I don't believe the trigger signal to the solenoid is fusedin a vanagon. pretty sure it's not ...straight from the ign sw, non-fused. I sometimes put a starter button on a vanagon. ( in that nice flat spot right above the light switch ) I like to do them with pretty generous wires 'hot' from the battery. Of course that means it'll work any time.. but it's sure to deliver a good jolt to the starter solenoid that way. scott On 11/28/2012 11:32 PM, HotelWestfalia wrote: > I would like to install a push button switch on the firewall to start the engine. My question is; how many Amps it should be? As I was looking at the wiring, I see 16A and 8A but maybe it can be less. > Anyone? > Thanks for any help. > Zoltan > |
