I can see potentially spending that amount. And based on the passion and market out there for our vans, it's probably worth it. It amazes me what people are willing to pay when I look at the Go Westy classifieds.

I on the other hand, am keeping a detailed spreadsheet of things I do you my vehicles. I date and mileage stamp all my entries, including just casual observations I make about the vehicle, Ilke "a rumbling sound" from the engine while idling. I'm a mechanical engineer and kind of anal like that.

I'm not an off-roader or camper by any stretch of the imagination, which is another reason I bought this 7 passenger hard top. I just like unique vehicles and enjoy working on them as a hobby, being a VW makes it just that much more fun.

I'm off to knock on doors to look for a spare tire. Wish me luck.
