Well thanks to David and Dennis I replaced my alternator as suggested. When
going down the road the dash lights would sometimes blink very faintly,this lead
me to question its road worthiness. After changing it out, no mas problema. I
fact I now have a higher voltage output at 14.50 that does cut back as battery
charges up .So thanks again for the advice. I have never seen a alternator
operate in an intermediate manner like that so it seemed strange to me.
What I have seen is a good / no good pass or fail. I guess with a 28 year old
van sometimes things are not always black and white but you have to be ready for
some shades of gray as well. Stay safe and be well.
