I suppose you could easily use Yakima's designated rain gutter attachments....I did use some of that to put this rack onto a Wells Fargo utility trailer.... I do, as a 'belt AND suspenders' thing, put an additional bungee cord across my top tube on the bikes, just in case the fork clamp should ever come loose...which it never has.
