I know that tires and wheels get a lot of attention but I'll add my opinions again.

If you're going through the expense of new rims and tires, don't bother with 15's. Unless you want to go 'tall" for that off-road look the selection of adequate 15" tires is as bad or worse than 14". There as very little improvement in handling going from a 215/70-14 to a 215/65-15 and there is no improvement in load capacity. Going to a 215/60-16 you can get XL (reinforced) tires. Going to a 225/60-16 standard tires will have just adequate capacity and you will also gain an increased diameter and this is a very popular-common size. This size is also available in XL ratings. For ultimate in handling consider 225/55-17. There is a very large selection of XL tires in this size. There are some reasonably priced direct fit wheels available in this size. Another consideration is the wheel load capacity. The American Racing AR95T77545 is a direct fit and offers a 2,200 pound load rating. It is a truck designed wheel. It fits and clears the sliding door. This wheel will not fit in the spare tire carrier so you need a regular spare.

Putting a set of the Go Westy 15" alloys and Michilins on as well as a new set of four Go Westy Progressive springs, 0" lift.   Westy has the Bilsteen shocks offered, but they are awfully pricy.   Are there any recomendations for a very good set of shocks that wont break the bank ?   Thanks !
