I put the KYB shocks on my van, per list members' recommendations many years ago, and they substantially improved the ride of my van, to the point where I would almost say it handles. I did this in conjunction with replacing all the tires with the Michelins that you used to be able to get, shortly after leaving a music festival. I was driving down a hill and drove over a small rock and the van started rocking back and forth to the point that I thought it was going to roll. Now it barely moves when hit with good cross-winds... The KYBs are about half the cost of the Bilstein's. Now, if it were one of my BMWs, I'd totally go with the Bilstein HDs. :)
